Reminders

* Join Watermark Books & Cafe for a signing from the author team who contributed to the book "African Americans of Wichita," at 6 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 24) at 4701 E. Douglas Ave. Authors include Carole Branda, Gretchen Eick, Abril Marshall, Mark E. McCormick, Jay M. Price, Mark Strohminger and Robert E. Weems.

* Student Health will close at 5 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 24) and will be closed all day Wednesday, Nov. 25, for staff training. The office will resume regular hours after the Thanksgiving holiday at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30.

* KMUW phone volunteers are needed, once more to the red door. We are still at 3317 E. 17th St. N. for this fall pledge drive. KMUW's on-air pledge drive begins Thursday, Dec. 3. You'll input each caller's pledge data on a personal computer. And because procedures are always evolving, you are expected to attend at least a one hour or less training session at KMUW. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4432 for more information on training session times and to sign up.

* During the 2016 spring break, Shocker student leaders from a variety of disciplines will participate in a service-learning experience and class that allows students to understand and make a positive impact in the area of food insecurity in New York City. We hope you will consider sponsoring a meal, meals for a day, or a portion of anything will help. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4433 for more information.

* Take a break from the stress of finals week by trying out some of our Shocker Fit classes. The classes are free for everyone, including faculty and community members. Visit http://www.wichita.edu/shockerfit for a schedule and more information.
