* Join the Counseling and Testing Center for Keep Calm & Breathe On. Drop in to build structured relaxation time into your life and learn techniques to do relaxation on your own. You will be led in meditation, mindfulness and relaxation practices from 2-2:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 25) and Wednesday, Dec. 9.
* Student Health will be closed all day today (Wednesday, Nov. 25) for staff training. The office will resume regular hours after the Thanksgiving holiday at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30.
* KMUW phone volunteers are needed, once more to the red door. We are still at 3317 E. 17th St. N. for this fall pledge drive. KMUW's on-air pledge drive begins Thursday, Dec. 3. You'll input each caller's pledge data on a personal computer. And because procedures are always evolving, you are expected to attend at least a one hour or less training session at KMUW. * The Tilford Commission on Diversity invites you to join us for an open house celebration of the end of the semester from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the RSC Spencer Room. Light refreshments will be served, and all WSU faculty and staff are welcome. RSVP by Monday, Nov. 30, to Janis Hudson at janis.hudson@wichita.edu.
* Provide a Christmas gift for a local child through The Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program. Student Involvement and the Rhatigan Student Center will host an Angel Tree in the RSC to help Wichita children have a Merry Christmas. If you are interested in sponsoring a child, stop by the University Information Desk on the first floor of the RSC to choose your angel off the tree. Gifts then are returned back to the information desk once they are purchased.
* Stop by the University Bookstore in the RSC for its annual 12 Days of Christmas Sale from Monday, Nov. 30-Saturday, Dec. 12. New sale items are added daily. The Bookstore has extended Saturday hours for December. The sale is valid at the RSC location only. Also, stop by the University Bookstore's Holiday Open House from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, for light refreshments and some WSU holiday cheer.
