Amended to add clarifications regarding utilization of external reviewers, as suggested by the Faculty Senate.
The revisions relate principally to the use of external reviews. To that end, the following language has been added to the policy under the section titled "Use of External Evaluation."
The use of external reviews is required in all promotion and tenure reviews to demonstrate earned recognition in professional circles. External reviews are not part of the Professor Incentive Review process.
Letters of external review (and rebuttals if filed) become part of the candidate's primary, rather than secondary, dossier.
