* The Rhatigan Student Center will host a retirement celebration for Diana Simpson from 2-4 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 9) in 301 RSC, with remarks at 3 p.m. Diana has served as the RSC's payroll specialist for 32 years. Please stop by and wish her well in her retirement.
* The WSU campus community is invited to attend a retirement party in honor of Tim and Gayla Shrank from 2-4 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 9) in 233 RSC, with remarks at 2:30 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments. Tim is retiring from the Post Office and Gayla from Financial Operations.
* Remember the Angel Tree gifts are due back to the RSC information desk today (Wednesday, Dec. 9).
* The Campus Post Office will close at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 9). Normal operations will resume on Thursday, Dec 10.
* The Office of Financial Operations and Business Technology will be closed from 2-4 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 9).
* The men's basketball team will host UNLV at 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 9) in Charles Koch Arena. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).
* The Office of Academic Affairs is conducting an internal search for a tenured professor to lead the new Institute for Interdisciplinary Creativity. The successful candidate will be someone with a major track record and commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and leading innovation-focused groups in research and creative projects. In additional to their current tenured position, the successful candidate will take on the additional responsibilities of the director and be compensated with a stipend from the professorship fund. * The Office of Human Resources (HR) will retire the AAO-1 Search Process Reports on Monday, Jan. 4. Those who are conducting searches and have an approved AAO-1 Step 1 will complete their search using the retired AAO-1 forms.
