Champion for fighting hunger, crime and protecting children to speak in class

Virginia White, nationally recognized champion for fighting hunger, crime and protecting children, will speak in Mel Kahn's lobbying class from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 3) in 101 Lindquist Hall. As president and CEO of the Kansas Food Bank for 20 years, she raised more than $5 million to establish Kansas as a national role model for other food banks to emulate. She will also offer advice on how young persons can enter the lobbying and fundraising fields.
