Reminders, deadlines and events

* If you are graduating this semester and plan to participate in the Fall Commencement ceremony Sunday, Dec. 13, remember to RSVP through the myWSU portal by clicking on commencement reservations. The deadline to RSVP to participate in the ceremony is 5 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 4). If you have issues submitting an RSVP or have questions, contact commencement@wichita.edu.

* Apply to become a Resident Advisor (RA) or Peer Academic Leader (PAL). Applications are available now. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/RAPAL to apply. Applications are due Friday, Feb. 5.

* Join the WSU HyperShocks as we design and build a pod for the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. We are looking for dedicated students from all colleges to join us as we prepare and present the final iteration of our design. * GoCreate, a Koch Collaborative, is hosting an Instagram contest with zero barriers and zero restrictions on creativity. Build something cool with the GoCreate logo kit, and share a photo or video on Instagram using #GoCreateWSU. Logo kits are available in the lobby of the National Institute for Aviation Research. The contest closes Thursday, Dec. 31, and the winner will be announced Friday, Jan. 8. Entries will be judged on originality.

* Fall locker clear out of the Heskett Center is Thursday, Dec. 17. If you are clearing out, inform the Guest Services assistant. For renewal/signup for spring 2016, please go to Guest Services. Don't wait until finals, you might forget.

* TRIO Disability Support Services (DSS) is accepting students for the 2015-16 academic school year. TRIO DSS offers services for students with disabilities who are low-income, first-generation with a documented physical, psychological disability and/or learning disorder. TRIO DSS offers supplemental academic advising, free tutoring, study skill development and much more. Stop by 158 Grace Wilkie Annex to receive more information. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Dec. 16.

* The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is accepting mentee applications for the Multicultural Student Mentoring Program (MSMP) for spring 2016. MSMP facilitates the retention, academic success, holistic development and timely graduation of all underrepresented and first-generation students at WSU. * Ever wonder what it would be like to hit the books in the morning and hit the beach in the afternoon? Thanks to National Student Exchange (NSE), you can. The application materials for exchange during fall 2016 and spring 2017 are available at http://www.wichita.edu/nse and are due Monday, Feb. 1. * The campus post office is selling letters from Santa until Wednesday, Dec. 16. Letters will be sent to Santa Claus, Indiana, for a pictorial postmark and then forwarded to the address you put on the envelope. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4439 for samples of pictures and pictorial postmark.

* Ennovar has student jobs available. Ennovar's jobs and an application are posted on the employment section of its website at http://www.wichita.edu/ennovar. Look through the available student opportunities, find a position that sounds like a fit for you and apply at http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=ennovar&p=/apply/. If your skills match our needs, we will contact you to begin the interview process.

* Space is still available for students to live on campus for the spring semester. Students commuting have the option of signing a spring only contract that ends in May 2016. Log in to your myWSU account and select "Campus Housing" under the home tab, and then complete the contract and payment. Room requests are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, so complete the sign-up process as soon as possible.

* Free flu shots are still available to all enrolled students from Student Health Services in Ahlberg Hall.
