In conjunction with the University's Strategic Planning process, I am pleased to announce that our campus will be developing a Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan for growth the next three-to-five years. This project will focus on identifying and enhancing SEM strategies, practices and structures to meet WSU's enrollment goals in alignment with our university vision and mission.

The SEM process will intensify in January with committee meetings and a visit from an expert from AACRAO, the leading higher education association focusing on enrollment. As an informational kick-off to this project, articles will be posted this week in WSU Today describing the activities, timeline and committee membership. The goal is an integrated, comprehensive plan for recruitment and retention -- a plan that is data-informed and evidence-based.
