* The Campus Post Office will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, Dec 10.
* The University Police Department has created an internship for the spring 2016 semester that is available to criminal justice majors. The information will be available at https://wichitastate.joinhandshake.com/ until midnight today (Wednesday, Dec. 9).
* Campus Recreation invites you to swim, play games, take advantage of state of the art fitness equipment and most of all have fun from 4:30-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, in the Heskett Center. Sign up for Heskett Center membership on this day and receive a 10 percent discount on your spring 2016 membership and/or locker rental.
* Wichita State University will hold its fall ceremony of the 118th commencement in Charles Koch Arena at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13.
* Bring your dog to the Wiedemann Natatorium in the Heskett Center for our third annual Puppy Paddle from 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Dec. 12. Dogs can splash around in the water, play catch and swim with their owners. Treats will be provided, and all donations will be given to PALS Animal Shelter.
* Apply to become a resident advisor (RA) or peer academic leader (PAL). Applications are available now. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/RAPAL to apply. Applications are due Friday, Feb. 5.
* The WSU Community Education Office is hosting a big giveaway this month. Visit http://www.facebook.com/WSUwpce and like our page. * Join the Community Service Board for its final Service in the City of the semester. On Thursday, Dec. 17, multiple shifts will be available for students to volunteer for the Angel Tree Toy Distribution. Volunteering will take place at 1101 E. Central. Students will have the chance to distribute toys to families that participated in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program; 50 families will be served every 15 minutes.
