* The Office of Student Engagement is seeking nominations for Wichita State's 2016 Senior Honor Men and Women awards. * The state of Kansas has 27 paychecks paid in calendar year 2015, because of the timing of the Legislative approved holidays for calendar year 2015-16 and the pay dates. Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, is an approved holiday for State of Kansas employees, and falls on a payday. The State of Kansas paychecks will be issued on Dec. 31, 2015, which will be the 27th paycheck for 2015. Calendar year 2016 will have the regular 26 biweekly paychecks. * The Office of Academic Affairs is conducting an internal search for a tenured professor to lead the new Institute for Interdisciplinary Creativity. The successful candidate will be someone with a major track record and commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and leading innovation-focused groups in research and creative projects. In addition to their current tenured position, the successful candidate will take on the additional responsibilities of the director, and be compensated with a stipend from the professorship fund. * The University of Kansas' NIH COBRE Center for Molecular Analysis of Disease Pathways (CMADP) has announced its upcoming Pilot Project Competition. This competition is open to all full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty at WSU, KU, KSU or KUMC whose research embraces the molecular analysis of disease pathways in the broadest sense.
