It is estimated that at any time, about 20 percent of the population suffers from a mental health condition. However, less than half are being treated by a professional. The Counseling & Testing Center is offering free Mental Health First Aid courses to help individuals better identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health issues in others. Help yourself, help a friend. To register for the next upcoming course on Friday, Jan. 29, go to myWSU and myTraining. More spring 2016 dates for this workshop are also available. Admission is free and a light breakfast and afternoon snacks will be provided. For more general information, go to http://www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org
