* The Office of Student Engagement is seeking nominations for Wichita State's 2016 Senior Honor Men and Women awards, one of the highest honors a student can receive at WSU. * The Office of Research will hold an open come-and-go lab for Cayuse at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in 405 Jardine Hall. No registration is required. Faculty and staff interested in submitting research proposal applications to the federal government through Cayuse should plan to attend. The Office of Research subscribes to this valuable service, which checks grant applications for errors and allows researchers and the research office staff to collaborate on the proposal application directly. * The Kansas University Office of Research invites nominations for the 2016 Higuchi-KU Endowment Research Achievement Awards. Nominations must be received by Friday, Jan. 22. The Higuchi-KU Endowment Research Achievement Awards are KU's highest award for faculty accomplishments in research, scholarship and creative activity. These awards recognize significant research achievement conducted by faculty at any Regents institution. The criteria for each award and the nomination guidelines are available at http://research.ku.edu/higuchi-award-nominations
* To help students with registration, fee payment and financial aid questions, the Office of the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid and Accounts Receivable will offer extended hours from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. today (Monday, Jan. 11) through Thursday, Jan. 14, and Tuesday through Thursday, Jan. 19-21. Visit our staff in Jardine Hall for assistance.
* Duplication Station staff will train on new printing equipment and software during the next several weeks. As a result, the service window will be closed each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. through Monday, Feb. 1. Please plan accordingly.
