Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* The Office of Research Compliance will hold an open lab from 9-11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 20) in 215 Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. Faculty, staff and students needing assistance in determining potential export or import controls affecting responsibilities and activities at WSU should plan to attend. Open labs are held the third Wednesday of every month.

* Wichita State's Ted Ayres will give a Senior Wednesday presentation titled "Gordon Parks: Insight into the Creative Genius from Kansas," at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 20) in the Ulrich Museum of Art. * The Office of Research will hold an open lab for Cayuse at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 20) in 405 Jardine Hall. Faculty and staff interested in submitting research proposal applications to the federal government through Cayuse should plan to attend this come-and-go lab. No registration is required.

* Grading for spring 2016 pre-session courses is now open. Faculty can access the new Banner 9 grading form via the Teach/Advise tab in the myWSU portal. The Banner 8 grading form is also still available. The grading period will close at 10 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 20). Questions about grading can be directed to the Office of the Registrar at 978-3090.

* Nominations are being accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for Unclassified Professionals. The nomination form and instructions can be found under the featured links on the Unclassified Professional Senate website at http://www.wichita.edu/upsenate. Nominations are due by noon Friday, Jan. 29.

* The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will honor outstanding female WSU leaders at the 8th annual Phenomenal Women Recognition Celebration for their timeless service and effort to WSU and the Wichita community.
