The call for presentations for WSU's 3rd annual Gender & Sexuality conference, co-sponsored by the Department of Sociology, Elliott School of Communication and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, is now live at http://www.wichita.edu/genderconference.

The conference will be held Friday, March 4. We are excited to have Lisa Wade, co-author of "Gender: Ideas, Interactions, Institutions," and the founder and principal writer for the popular website, Sociological Images (thesocietypages.org/socimages), as the keynote speaker. Submissions of original research and scholarship in any discipline are welcome.

Our primary goals are to create connections and dialogue among gender and sexuality scholars across the state and to provide students an opportunity to gain experience presenting research. We hope that you will consider submitting a proposal consisting of a 200-300 word summary of your proposed presentation.
