Reminders, deadlines and events

* Join us for a Sweet Celebration of culture and diversity from noon-2 p.m. today (Thursday, Jan. 21) in the RSC Bluestem Lounge. Mix and mingle with the Black Student Union, Hispanic American Leadership Organization, Asian Student Conference, Spectrum LGBTQ & Allies, Muslim Student Association and the Multicultural Greek Council. Free giveaways and a hot cocoa bar will make for a great time.

* A biannual orientation program has been scheduled on Tuesday, Feb. 2, for new, benefits-eligible university support staff and unclassified professional staff. The orientation program provides employees hired within the previous six months an opportunity to learn more about WSU. Register your attendance by logging in to myWSU, Faculty/Staff tab, myTraining, no later than noon Monday, Feb. 1.

* Applications for the John A. See Innovation Award will be accepted now to Monday, Feb. 15. The award was established to support prototype development, which may include development of products in engineering and science, development of life-enhancing therapeutic products, creation of application of new knowledge and artistic ventures. * Important 2015 health insurance tax forms are available. The 2015 IRS 1095-C tax forms are available online at https://sehp.member.hrissuite.com/ (MAP). Forms will also be mailed to your preferred MAP address. Login credentials match the Open Enrollment login ID and password. Go to the forms tab within your account overview screen, under "Tax Forms." For questions, email the State Department of Health at SEHPMembership@kdheks.gov.

* Alpha Kappa Psi will have its 2nd Annual Chili Feed from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Clinton Hall lobby. It is free, but donations are accepted.

* Do you know a student who could use free individualized tutoring? Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded TRIO program that provides free academic services to first-generation students.
