Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* The Council of University Women (CUW) announces its 2016 spring membership drive. Membership is open to all university-employed classified, unclassified and auxiliary staff, with the exception of student assistants. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4532 for more information.

* Every year, financial aid staff partners with area high schools to host financial aid nights, where students and families can learn about the opportunities for funding a post-secondary education. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4533 for information on upcoming Financial Aid Nights.

* International Education invites all departments and offices on campus to a brown bag information session from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in 266 RSC to learn more about what our office is doing. Representatives will be available to talk about efforts in recruitment, admissions, immigration compliance, study abroad and programs on campus. Come with questions (and your lunch) to find out everything you've wanted to know about our office.

* WSU administrative offices will host a Q&A session for all campus chairs, budget officers, directors, administrative assistants, executive assistants and college business managers on a variety of topics from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in 209 Hubbard Hall. Sign up for the informative Administrative Processes and Procedures Q&A session on myWSU, myTraining.

* Student Success will host a syllabus party to help students organize all of their class assignments and exams this semester. Please encourage your students to stop by between noon-3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in 142 RSC, with their syllabi and we will walk them through the rest.

* Duplication Station staff is training on new printing equipment and software. As a result, the service window will be closed each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. through Monday, Feb. 1. Please plan accordingly.

* Alpha Kappa Psi will have its 2nd annual Chili Feed from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Clinton Hall lobby. It is free, but donations are accepted.
