Reminders, deadlines and events

* Nominations are being accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for Unclassified Professionals. The nomination form and instructions can be found under the featured links on the Unclassified Professional Senate website at http://www.wichita.edu/upsenate. Nominations are due by noon Friday, Jan. 29.

* Do you know an exemplary University Support Staff (USS) employee? Nominations will be accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for University Support Staff until 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3640 to nominate an outstanding USS employee.

* Alpha Kappa Psi will have its 2nd annual Chili Feed from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Tuesday, Jan. 26) in the Clinton Hall lobby. It is free, but donations are accepted.

* The Counseling and Testing Center is offering a free Mental Health First Aid course to help individuals better identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health issues in others on Friday, Jan. 29. To register, go to myWSU and myTraining. More spring 2016 dates for this workshop are also available. Admission is free and a light breakfast and afternoon snacks will be provided. * International Education invites all departments and offices on campus to a brown bag information session from 12:30-1:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Jan. 26) in 266 RSC. Representatives will talk about efforts in recruitment, admissions, immigration compliance, study abroad and programs on campus. Come with questions (and your lunch) to find out everything you've wanted to know about our office.

* WSU administrative offices will host a Q&A session for all campus chairs, budget officers, directors, administrative assistants, executive assistants and college business managers on a variety of topics from 2-4 p.m. today (Tuesday, Jan. 26) in 209 Hubbard Hall. * The next Spring 2016 Chemistry Department Colloquium will be presented by Kevin Kubarych, University of Michigan, at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 27) in 224 McKinley Hall.
