Reminders, deadlines and events

* The Counseling and Testing Center is offering free Mental Health First Aid courses to help individuals better identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health issues in others. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4501 to register for the upcoming course on Friday, Jan. 29. More spring 2016 dates for this workshop are also available. Admission is free and a light breakfast and afternoon snacks will be provided.

* Now is the time to get that flu vaccine. Flu shots are free for students. Come to Student Health Services in Ahlberg Hall, or stop by a flu clinic for a flu shot from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 26-27, on the first floor, RSC.

* The priority deadline to apply for fall 2016 Study Abroad programs is Monday, Feb. 1. Summer 2016 applications also are being accepted. Most deadlines for summer programs are also Feb. 1. * Student Success will host a syllabus party to help students organize all of their class assignments and exams this semester. Stop by between noon-3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in 142 RSC, with your syllabi and we will walk you through the rest. Bring your own planner or phone calendar if that's what they prefer to use.

* Alpha Kappa Psi will have its 2nd Annual Chili Feed from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Clinton Hall lobby. It is free, but donations are accepted.

* If you are interested in promoting education, empowerment and accountability among students, apply to be a Student Conduct Hearing Board member. Details for students regarding qualifications and the application and selection process can be found at http://www.wichita.edu/studentconduct. Applications are due by Friday, Feb. 19. * Brad Paisley will perform at Intrust Bank Arena on Thursday, Feb. 25, with special guests Eric Paslay and Cam. * Applications are being sought for Wichita State's 2016 Senior Honor Men and Women awards, one of the most prestigious honors a student can receive at WSU. To review the eligibility requirements and application process, go to http://wichita.edu/seniorhonor. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4.

* Student Activities Council (SAC) will host five bingo's simultaneously in luau, casino, western, sports and royalty-themed game rooms. It will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, on the second floor, RSC, and will continue until all prizes are won. No one will leave empty-handed at this Breakout Bingo.
