ODI seeking students

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) is seeking new freshmen and transfer students to apply to be in the Multicultural Student Mentoring Program (MSMP). MSMP pairs minority, LGBTQ and first-generation students who are incoming freshmen or transfer students with experienced peer mentors.

These peer mentors will help show students the ropes, connect them with campus resources and help them be successful at WSU. Students in MSMP will have access to many resources including free individual tutoring, developmental support, social events and volunteer opportunities.

To apply, go to http://www.wichita.edu/msmp. The deadline is Friday, Jan. 29. Contact Natalie Toney at natalie.toney@wichita.edu with questions.

ODI is also seeking students who are looking to prepare themselves for the workforce. The Ready 2 Work Program (R2W) pairs sophomores, juniors and seniors with experienced professionals in the community to mentor and begin preparing students for the workforce. In addition, students will have access to workshops covering resume building, interview skills and appropriate dress for the workplace.

To apply, go to http://www.wichita.edu/workready. The deadline is Friday, Jan. 29. Contact Natalie Toney at natalie.toney@wichita.edu with questions.
