LEAD ICT-UP leadership training series on Tuesday, Feb. 9

Wichita Urban Professionals, in partnership with the Kansas Leadership Center, WSU's Assistant to the President for Diversity and WSU's Office of Community Engagement and Opportunity, present the next installment of LEAD ICT-UP, a leadership training series. The focus will be on diagnosing situations and managing self through the lens of Ted Ayres and Marche Fleming-Randle from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, in 265 RSC. The event is free and light refreshments will be served.

Attendees will hear compelling messages about leadership during critical moments and will gain insight on how to understand situations, while knowing how to best manage oneself when the stakes are high.

Ayres and Fleming-Randle will discuss their leadership moments in the context of critical situations dealing with racial unrest. Ayres' moments will focus on his role as the president-elect of the Mizzou Alumni Association during the University of Missouri protests, which led to the resignations of the university's president and chancellor.

Fleming-Randle's moments will focus on her new role as WSU's Assistant to the President for Diversity. Both will also discuss WSU's role in community engagement among its diversity and inclusion efforts.
