* The Office of Research will host an informational webinar on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grants from 1-2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 3) in 409E Jardine Hall. The webinar will provide details on how to find and apply for EPA grants, how to prepare a proper detailed budget and the EPA's new grants.gov requirement. It will conclude with a Q&A session. * Stop by our interactive tabletop service event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 3) in the RSC, to assemble sunshine kits for youth battling cancer. Sunshine kits will be donated to Wesley Medical Center Pediatric Oncology Center. Learn more at http://www.wichita.edu/csb

* Students who are seniors may be eligible to take the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA). Faculty are encouraged to make announcements in their classes promoting the CLA, a 90-minute (computer-based) student assessment that helps measure how well WSU is teaching critical thinking, analytic reasoning, problem-solving and writing skills. * Wichita Urban Professionals, in partnership with the Kansas Leadership Center, WSU's assistant to the President for Diversity and WSU's Office of Community Engagement and Opportunity, present the next installment of LEAD ICT-UP, a leadership training series. The focus will be on diagnosing situations and managing self through the lens of Ted Ayres and Marche Fleming-Randle from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, in 265 RSC.
