* An Institutional Review Board (IRB) Open Lab will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, in 405 Jardine. The come-and-go lab is for faculty, staff and students who have questions about IRB forms or about their study in general. * The university will offer an option to each University Support Staff (USS) employee to voluntarily reclassify his/her position to an Unclassified Professional (UP) position. This will allow the university to improve employee equity, simplify the employee structure and increase efficiency in employee processes. All USS employees will have the choice to move to Unclassified Professional staff or remain in your current USS classification. Informational meetings will be held starting this month. * Join the Counseling and Testing Center for Keep Calm & Breathe On. Build structured relaxation time into your life and learn techniques to do relaxation on your own. You will be led in meditation, mindfulness and relaxation practices. The meetings are every Wednesday starting Feb. 10 from 12:15-12:45 p.m., in 257 RSC. * The WSU Museum Studies Certificate Program is designed for graduate students and for those who currently work in museums. This interdisciplinary program prepares students for careers in the museum field and will enhance the education and knowledge of those currently working in museums. This program teaches not only the theory behind museum practices, but also gives students an opportunity to receive hands-on experience. * The Institute for Interdisciplinary Creativity announces a new undergraduate certificate available to students. With the completion of 12 hours of leadership coursework, which may also be some of the same courses that count toward certain undergraduate degrees, students will receive a certificate that demonstrates they have gained contemporary leadership skills in order for them to effectively contribute more to their chosen profession and community. * Wichita Urban Professionals, in partnership with the Kansas Leadership Center, WSU's assistant to the President for Diversity and WSU's Office of Community Engagement and Opportunity, present the next installment of LEAD ICT-UP, a leadership training series. The focus will be on diagnosing situations and managing self through the lens of Ted Ayres and Marche Fleming-Randle from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, in 265 RSC.
