* An Institutional Review Board (IRB) Open Lab will be held at 11 a.m. today (Monday, Feb. 8) in 405 Jardine. The come-and-go lab is for faculty, staff and students who have questions about IRB forms or about their study in general. * The next Department of Biology seminar will feature a presentation by Jeffrey May of Wichita State from 4-5 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 8) in 218 Hubbard Hall. May's topic is "Lessons learned from the utilization of a commercial hormone assay."

* Wichita Urban Professionals, in partnership with the Kansas Leadership Center, WSU's assistant to the President for Diversity and WSU's Office of Community Engagement and Opportunity, present the next installment of LEAD ICT-UP, a leadership training series. The focus will be on diagnosing situations and managing self through the lens of Ted Ayres and Marche Fleming-Randle from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, in 265 RSC. * Many WSU staff and faculty invite you to the Entre Nous evening of film, French hors d'oeuvres and selected wines. The film, "La Famille Belier," is subtitled in English. This fundraising event of Wichita Area Sister Cities will be open to the public at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, in the CAC Theater. If you have questions, email douglas.miller@wichita.edu. * The first members of the President's Diversity Council were named last week. The 24 members are listed at http://bit.ly/1S17FLc. The council is a group of faculty and staff that will meet regularly to engage with President Bardo regarding current events, issues and campus updates.
