Lecture by Tim Wise for faculty and staff

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is hosting a day lecture with Tim Wise for WSU faculty and staff from 1-2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in 266 RSC. His topic for the day lecture is "Diversity in the Classroom." Please RSVP at wichita.edu/twlecture by Friday, Feb. 12.

Tim Wise is an anti-racist activist, essayist and author. He is among the most prominent anti-racist writers and educators in the United States. Named one of "25 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World," by Utne Reader, Wise has spoken in all 50 states, on more than 800 college and high school campuses and to community groups across the nation.

Wise is the author of seven books, including his latest, "Under the Affluence: Shaming the Poor, Praising the Rich and Sacrificing the Future of America." Other books include "Dear White America: Letter to a New Minority," and his highly acclaimed memoir, "White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Sun."
