The Wichita State men's basketball game against Missouri State on Thursday, Feb. 18, at Charles Koch Arena, will feature a special halftime shootout competition between members of the Wichita Air Capital (A.C.) Flyers Special Olympics team. The performance will showcase the A.C. Flyers' abilities, while entertaining Shocker fans, and will help launch a GoFundMe fundraising campaign to support the approximately 135 A.C. Flyers Special Olympics athletes competing in basketball and other sports year-round. WSU Athletics has agreed to donate court time during the halftime. Proceeds from the GoFundMe campaign will help cover travel expenses to state tournaments, facility rentals for weekly practices and the purchase of new sports equipment.
