Civic Leadership and Service Summit

Are you a student/faculty/staff member that is interested in giving back to the community? Do you have a passion for helping others? If so, the Civic Leadership and Service Summit on Friday, Feb. 26, is for you. Join us for an amazing experience that was created for those who are interested in service, leadership and making a positive impact. The summit will include a keynote panel luncheon of Wichita community leaders discussing the importance of service and the impact service has had on their lives.

Students, faculty and staff can select breakout sessions from topics such as "The Leadership Challenge," "Avoiding Burnout," "VISTA Service Panel-Is VISTA for you," "True Colors," "Digital Storytelling," "WSU Reads: Start Something That Matters," and a special faculty session on "Service-Learning Reflection Techniques." Additionally, two service opportunities in the Wichita community are available at the Kansas Food Bank and The United Way GIV Warehouse.

This summit is a build-your-own schedule experience that allows participants to attend as many or as few sessions and opportunities as their schedule allows. All materials and sessions including the luncheon are free. Preregistration is required.
