Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* A Forum on Diversity with President John Bardo will be held from 1-3 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 19) in 301 RSC. If you are unable to attend or you'd like to suggest topics for Friday's discussion, send your thoughts to president@wichita.edu.

* Wichita State will host a celebration at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at the RSC, recognizing the three weeks poet Allen Ginsberg spent in Wichita writing his finest anti-war poem, "Wichita Vortex Sutra." Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4603 for more information.

* "Writing Proposals: Clear, Concise, Consistent (and Successful!)" workshop will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 19) in 266 RSC. Attend this workshop to learn tips, resources and hands-on approaches for improving grant-writing skills. Register through myWSU, using the myTraining channel.

* The WSU Leadership Academy is sponsoring a workshop,"Take Care of Yourself," from 1-5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at WSU Old Town. There is no cost to attend, but only 60 participants can be accommodated for this program. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Peter Cohen at peter.cohen@wichita.edu.

* The Cybersecurity Association (CsA) welcomes you to the following Cybersecurity Seminar, "Channel Statistics-Dependent Frequency Hopping," from 5:30-6:30 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 19) in 127 Jabara Hall. * myPerformance, the new online performance management system, will go live on Tuesday, March 1. myPerformance will be available for the planning phase of the 2016-17 annual evaluation cycle for all University Support Staff (USS) and Unclassified Professional (UP) employee evaluations. Training on how to use myPerformance will start Monday, Feb. 22, for employees, managers and indirect managers. Register through the myTraining link on the myWSU Faculty/Staff page.
