* Doctorate and specialist students who are graduating in the spring need to contact Julie at the University Bookstore for regalia. Call 978-7021, email bookstore@wichita.edu or come by the bookstore between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday to learn about your options. The deadline for purchasing orders is 4 p.m. Friday, March 11, and the deadline for rental orders is 4 p.m. Friday, March 25. Payment is due at the time you place your order. Please note -- orders placed after the deadline will incur additional shipping and handling charges.
* WSU doctoral student Karissa Marble-Flint is looking for 4-, 5- and 6-year-old children to participate in a research project. You and your child have the opportunity to answer the question, "Is the iPad helpful for young children with autism when used for shared storybook reading?" The time commitment is 25 minutes for session one and 60 minutes for session two. Please note: children must have normal vision and hearing. All families will receive a gift card for participating. * "Figments," by artist Sarah Wolfe, will be exhibiting now to Friday, Feb. 26, in the Cadman Art Gallery, first floor, RSC. This series of photographs was taken in the historic Sternberg Mansion and depicts the phantoms of the once immaculate home. Cadman Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday. * The Carl and Rozina Cassat Regional Institute on Aging announces a call for proposals for undergraduate and graduate student grants. Students can submit proposals requesting funds to support research or to support the development of innovative technologies or programs that address important issues in aging. Each student applicant must have a faculty sponsor. Undergraduate students can apply for grants of up to $1,500. Graduate students can apply for funds of up to $2,000.
