* Student Perception of Teaching Effectiveness (SPTE) Request forms are due to the Social Science Research Lab by Monday, Feb. 29. You may mail the form to campus box 107 or hand carry it to 429 Lindquist Hall. If you need a SPTE Request form, it can be found at http://www.wichita.edu\sslab

* Governmental Relations will provide another Legislative update for interested faculty and staff from 11 a.m.-noon today (Friday, Feb. 26) in the Morrison Hall boardroom. Come and hear about legislation that affects WSU. Andy Schlapp or Zach Gearhart will present these Legislative updates.

* The Engineers Without Borders (EWB)-USA Wichita State chapter seeks faculty mentors with fundraising, event planning, marketing and campaign experience. Join us from 6-7 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 26) in 211 Engineering Building, to learn how you can contribute to our upcoming clean water projects in Uganda through EWB.

* Financial Operations and Business Technology will offer two in-person training sessions on Tuesday, March 1, on compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), required for everyone involved in any part of processing payment-card transactions at WSU. One session will be at 10:30 a.m., and the other at 2:30 p.m. Attendance at one of these sessions fulfills an employee's annual credit card training requirement for 2016. * The Tilford Commission on Diversity welcomes proposals from instructors interested in developing a new diversity-related course or in modifying an existing course to enhance its diversity content. Proposals are due Monday, March 21, to the Tilford Coordinator, Office of Academic Affairs, Box 13, and should be accompanied by a completed application cover sheet, available at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4602. * The WSU Leadership Academy is sponsoring a workshop,"Take Care of Yourself," from 1-5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at WSU Old Town. There is no cost to attend, but only 60 participants can be accommodated for this program. If you are interested in attending, RSVP to Peter Cohen at peter.cohen@wichita.edu.

* "Developing Engaged Students -- Tips and Tricks from Student Involvement" is the title of a Faculty Development Workshop from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, March 3, in 262 RSC. Join us for a session that will explore student engagement as a vital aspect of teaching and learning. To RSVP for this workshop, sign in to myWSU and sign up for the session under myTrainings.
