* Student Health is going to be closed from noon-3:30 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 29) to attend training.

* Join us at Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes for some cheap cosmic bowling to celebrate Leap Day today (Monday, Feb. 29). From 5-10 p.m., you can bowl for 29 cents per game. A one-time shoe rental of $1.75 will apply. Limit three games per person if a waiting list exists.

* Learn how to navigate situations where you are the only one in the room from age, race or gender. Join the Black Student Union and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to hear from Kaye Monk-Morgan, program director of Upward Bound Math Science, from 7-8 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 29) in 142 RSC.

* The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers-Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) is hosting a brown bag lunch session from noon-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in 262 RSC. All students are invited to bring a lunch and hang out with Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) staff. Brown bag lunches give all students a chance to establish lasting relationships with professors and advisors outside of a classroom/office environment.

* The Offices of Diversity and Inclusion, Human Resources and the Counseling and Testing Center invite you to Gender Diversity Training from 2:30-5 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in 265 RSC. * President Bardo and the President's Office are starting a new campaign called Shocker Spotlight to highlight WSU students who have gone above and beyond to show their Shocker spirit in innovation, the community, globally, etc. Nominate a student by going to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4621 and fill out the information and provide a photo of the nominee. A new Shocker Spotlight will be showcased every week on President Bardo's Twitter and Facebook pages. Each week, a student in Shocker Spotlight will receive a gift from President Bardo and the President's Office.

* The Carl and Rozina Cassat Regional Institute on Aging announces a call for proposals for undergraduate and graduate student grants. Submit proposals requesting funds to support research or to support the development of innovative technologies or programs that address important issues in aging. Each student applicant must have a faculty sponsor. Undergraduate students can apply for grants of up to $1,500. Graduate students can apply for funds of up to $2,000. * The Counseling and Testing Center (CTC) has expanded its online registration for many tests, including course makeup exams, online course exams and distance exams. If a faculty member has given you permission to take a makeup test or online exam at the CTC, go to http://www.registerblast.com/wsu and select Academic Course Exams to register for a date and time, and pay the testing fee. * The Student Ambassador Society (SAS) is gearing up for their 14th annual Leadership Conference, with an expected attendance of 300 high school students from across the state. Through United Way, SAS is collecting school supplies for classroom care packages to deliver to various schools in the area. You can help by donating new pens, pencils, notebooks, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks or tape. Deliveries can be made to the Office of Diversity & Inclusion in 208 RSC by Friday, March 4.
