* "Getting Sleep" is the title of the next Words for Wellness from noon-12:30 p.m. today (Monday, March 7) in 142 RSC. The talk will be presented by Christopher Leonard, staff psychologist, Counseling and Testing Center. Learn ways to get a better night's rest and ways to avoid the pitfalls of poor sleep. Light refreshments will be provided.

* Join the Community Service Board as they help Wichita youth in their education by volunteering through their new series event, Tutoring Tuesdays, at the Urban League of Kansas. This series event takes place on multiple Tuesdays from 5-7 p.m. The third Tutoring Tuesday will take place tomorrow (Tuesday, March 8). * The abstract submission deadline for the 2016 Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF) is approaching. This year's forum will be held Tuesday, April 5, at Hughes Metropolitan Complex, and provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students at WSU to present their scholarly and creative activity to a faculty, student and community audience, while competing for cash awards. * The National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research Small Business Innovation Research program seeks products and services that benefit the lives of people with disabilities for up to $75,000 in funding. * Nominations for WSU Unclassified Professional (UP) senators will open today (Monday, March 7). Eligible staff are encouraged to nominate their peers for service on the committee, which exists to represent and give UPs a voice on campus. Voting eligible UPs will receive an email with instructions on completing the nomination process. All nominations are subject to approval by the nominee before being added to the final ballot. * The Wichita State Black Student Union will host the "My Black is Beautiful Fashion Show," at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in the RSC Beggs Ballroom. Advance tickets are $5, and $10 at the door. Tickets are available for purchase in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, 208 RSC, until Wednesday, March 9. A portion of the proceeds raised will go toward aiding the water crisis in Flint, Michigan.
