Eric King promoted to associate VP for facilities

Eric King has been promoted to associate vice president for facilities. In his expanded role, he will assume responsibility for the operations of the Physical Plant departments, which include all of the university's construction, maintenance and repair activities, covering all buildings and grounds. Physical Plant Director Woodrow DePontier will report to King. Mary Herrin, vice president for finance and administration, announced King's promotion and other realigned duties, listed below.

They have been approved by President Bardo and are effective March 14:

- Purchasing (Steve White) will report to Lois Tatro, associate vice president for financial operations and business technology.
- University Police (Sara Morris), Auxiliary Services (Ellen Abbey) and Human Resources (Frankie Kirkendoll) will report to Troy Bruun, associate vice president for financial reporting/analysis and debt management.

"These changes are part of the orderly transition to the beginning of my phased retirement at the beginning of 2017," Herrin says. "I'm pleased we have such capable leaders within administration and finance to take on these added responsibilities."
