Reminders, deadlines and events
* Join Engineers Without Borders (EWB)-USA Wichita State chapter for a meeting at 6 p.m. today (Friday, March 4) in 211 Engineering Building. Join us to learn how you can contribute to our upcoming projects in Uganda through EWB. You don't have to be an engineer to have an impact.
* Join members of the Stubblefield Society on its Spring Museum Hop. Meet us at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, on campus at the Ulrich Museum. From there, we'll board a party bus to travel in style to the Mid-America All-Indian Center, Old Cowtown Museum and the Sedgwick Co. Historical Museum. Meet new friends and explore some of Wichita's best destinations, all for only 89 cents. It's free for current Stubblefield members.
* The women's basketball team will host Indiana State at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Charles Koch Arena. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267). Students with a WSU ID can get in free starting one hour before women's home games.
* A doctoral student of audiology is seeking participants for her research project, which will test the reflexes in the ear. Participants will receive a free hearing evaluation prior to testing. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 35, cannot have had an ear infection in the past three months, nor had a cold or flu in the past two weeks. * The deadline to turn in a WSU Dames Endowed Scholarship application for the 2016-17 academic year is Sunday, May 1. Applications are available online at http://www.wichita.edu/wsuwomen. The scholarships are awarded annually to students enrolled full or part time at WSU who have financial need. No recipient will be excluded from consideration on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, political affiliation, status as a veteran, genetic information or disability. However, first consideration will be given to nontraditional, female candidates.
* Dining Services wants your feedback and has extended the survey deadline to Wednesday, March 9. Let them know how they can better serve you. Those who participate will be entered in a drawing for a $250 WSU Bookstore gift card. Go to http://vcil.cc/ewwapy7 to take the survey.

* President Bardo and the President's Office have started a new campaign called Shocker Spotlight to highlight WSU students who have gone above and beyond to show their Shocker spirit in innovation, the community, globally, etc. Nominate a student at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4621 and fill out the information and provide a photo of the nominee. A new Shocker Spotlight will be showcased weekly on President Bardo's Twitter and Facebook pages. Each week, a student in Shocker Spotlight will receive a gift from President Bardo and the President's Office.
