Statement on Kansas budget cuts from WSU President John Bardo

Wichita State University remains focused on growing the Kansas economy through applied learning and research, because they offer the best long-term solutions to the economic growth of Kansas.

We believe the impact of Tuesday's budget action will be a spending reduction of about $2 million from now through June. Because this will be difficult to manage in a short time period, I have instructed our leadership team to freeze all non-critical spending.
