USS to UP opportunity -- KPERS Individualized Retirement Comparison Statements USS to UP opportunity -- KPERS Individualized Retirement Comparison Statements

The opportunity for USS (University Support Staff) to switch to UP (Unclassified Professional) positions effective June 5, provides a one-time opportunity to make a one-time irrevocable decision to change retirement plans from KPERS to a KBOR (Kansas Board of Regents) plan.

The Human Resources (HR) Benefits Team began sending out KPERS Tier 1 and 2 employees' Individualized Retirement Comparison information via campus mail on March 2. Employees with Kansas Police and Firemen's retirement system and KPERS 3 should receive their statements at a later date when available.

Members age 65 and older will not receive comparison statements, as the data provided on the estimates is only up to age 65.
