* WSU's School of Performing Arts presents a Second Stage production of "Core of Temptation," a play written by Danielle Hartman, a student from Virginia Commonwealth University. The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, March 10) to Saturday, March 12, and at 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, March 12-13, at Welsbacher Theater in the Hughes Metropolitan Complex. * Proposals are due to the Office of Research for University Research/Creative Projects (URCA) no later than 5 p.m. Friday, April 1. URCAs are used to retool or re-establish productive research/creative projects agenda. In areas where external funding is available, the URCA may be used as seed money to develop pilot data. * Save the date for the campus SEM (Strategic Enrollment Management) forum from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the RSC Beggs Ballroom. A box lunch will be provided for those who RSVP. * Wage & Hour Training is scheduled to be taught by the dynamic Human Resources training duo of Lana Anthis and Nancy Thompson from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, in 266 RSC. This training is valuable for all timekeepers, administrative specialists and supervisors. Go to myTraining to enroll.
* The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is seeking outstanding individuals to serve as Peer Mentors for the Multicultural Student Mentoring Program. These students play a major role in the transition of new underrepresented students. Peer Mentors must be at least a sophomore with a 2.75 GPA. * The abstract submission deadline for the 2016 Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF) is Wednesday, March 30. The forum will be held Tuesday, April 5, at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex, and provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students at WSU to present their scholarly and creative activity to a faculty, student and community audience, while competing for cash awards.
