Wichita State's Student Activities Council to host Marlon Wayans

The Student Activities Council (SAC) will host actor and comedian Marlon Wayans, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Hughes Metropolitan Complex. The event will feature Wayans in a staged comedic performance. Doors open at 7 p.m., and seating is general admission.

Ticket sales begin Monday, March 21. Students with a WSU ID may purchase one discount ticket for $5 in cash or check only in Student Involvement, 216 RSC. Otherwise, tickets may be purchased for $20 through http://www.selectaseat.com, Select-a-Seat outlets and at the door.

Wayans is an actor, producer, comedian, writer and film director. His films have grossed an average of nearly $50 million per outing. As a stand-up comedian, he is selling out nationwide and adding shows every weekend.

Wayans is commonly recognized for his role as Marcus Copeland in Columbia Pictures' 2004 hit comedy "White Chicks," opposite Shawn Wayans, Jamie King and Terry Crews.

Additionally, Wayans has appeared on several popular television programs, including Fox's "In Living Color."
