* The Student Activities Council (SAC) will host actor and comedian Marlon Wayans, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Ticket sales begin today (Monday, March 21). Students with a WSU ID may purchase one discount ticket for $5 in cash or check only in Student Involvement, 216 RSC. * In conjunction with Student Government Association (SGA), Campus Issues is hosting a Campus Safety week from today (Monday, March 21) to Friday, March 25. SGA invites students to participate in the self-defense class at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, in Heskett Center Court D. Preregistration is required and can be found at https://goo.gl/iP2eir. * Submit a flyer and logo with a tag line for WSU's Title IX Campaign by Friday, April 15. The winning campaign will be the new face of Title IX across campus in print and online materials. Prizes will be given to the top three submissions. Email your submissions to TitleIX@wichita.edu.
* Do you want to win money? This Minute to Win It style game show takes the audience and turns them into contestants. Join us at 7 p.m. Friday, March 25, in the CAC to win big. Compete as teams or individuals for cash and prizes of more than $300.
* Doctorate and specialist students who are graduating in the Spring 2016 Commencement, should contact the University Bookstore to order regalia. The deadline for rental orders is 4 p.m. Friday, March 25. Payment is due at the time you place your order. Orders placed after the deadline will incur additional shipping and handling charges.
* A doctoral student of audiology is seeking participants for her research project, which will test the reflexes in the ear. Participants will receive a free hearing evaluation prior to testing. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 35, cannot have had an ear infection in the past three months, nor had a cold or flu in the past two weeks. * The deadline to turn in a WSU Dames Endowed Scholarship application for the 2016-17 academic year is Sunday, May 1. Applications are available online at http://www.wichita.edu/wsuwomen. The scholarships are awarded annually to students enrolled full or part time at WSU who have financial need. No recipient will be excluded from consideration on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, political affiliation, status as a veteran, genetic information or disability. However, first consideration will be given to nontraditional, female candidates.
* Join SAC from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 26, for the Shocker Paint Party. Learn how to paint a WSU-themed painting at Paint the Towne (8037 E. Peachtree Lane). Limited spots are available and may be purchased online at http://www.wichita.edu/sac, under forms and registrations. The cost is $5 for students, faculty and staff with a WSU ID or $10 for the general public.
