Let's build a community of operators on campus. Are you a licensed amateur radio operator or interested in becoming one? Amateur radio isn't just a hobby. Operators set up and operate organized communication networks to help local governmental and emergency officials, as well as noncommercial communication for private citizens affected by disasters. Amateur radio operators assist after disasters that damage regular lines of communication, due to power outages and destruction of telephone, cellular and other infrastructure-dependent systems.
