Reminders, deadlines and events

* The softball team will host Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 23) at Wilkins Stadium. WSU students can pick up free softball tickets on the day of the game with a WSU ID at Wilkins Stadium.

* The baseball team will host Cal Poly at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Eck Stadium. WSU students can pick up free baseball tickets on the day of the game with a WSU ID at the Eck Stadium ticket office.

* Earlier this semester, Student Activities Council hosted the first Commercial Competition. The Commercial Competition consisted of making a one-minute video of why you love WSU or a way to express Shocker Pride. You can vote on your favorite video on our website at http://wichita.edu/SAC. Voting ends at 5 p.m. Friday, March 25.

* University Libraries is hosting a workshop, "Survey of Web Design Tools," from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24, in 217 Ablah Library. * Join the Cultural Ambassador Program for their three-part spring panel series. Each week there will be a different topic. "Taboos!" is the topic of this week's program from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24, in 264 RSC. What is forbidden and what shouldn't you do while traveling in other countries?

* Are you interested in promoting body positivity at WSU? The Body Project is a program aimed at helping young women to feel better about their bodies. The Body Project will host a two day, four-hour workshop from 3-5 p.m. Friday, March 25, and 3-5 p.m. Friday, April 1. Participants are expected to be present for both days of training. * Take off your shoes to raise global awareness for children's health and education. TOMS shoes are now on sale for preorder until Friday, March 25. Join the fun from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, on the RSC north patio.

* Housing and Residence Life is accepting housing applications for the upcoming academic year. If you haven't signed up yet, hurry, because space is filling up fast. You can begin a housing application by logging in to myWSU and clicking on the Campus Housing link. You will be able to reserve your desired room beginning in April. * Wichita State Track and Field has teamed up with Shocker Track Club to help facilitate one of the state's largest track meets, and you could be part of it. If you are majoring in education, sports or plan on working with children or athletes when you graduate, you want this on your resume. Volunteers are needed for the KT Woodman Track Meet, Wednesday-Saturday, April 13-16. We are looking for people to work a block of time, a few hours or a particular event.
