Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* Governmental Relations will provide another Legislative update for interested faculty and staff from 11 a.m.-noon today (Friday, March 25) in the Morrison Hall boardroom. Come and hear about legislation that affects WSU. Andy Schlapp or Zach Gearhart will present the Legislative updates.

* All faculty and staff are invited to the AAUP WSU Chapter Meeting from 3-5 p.m. today (Friday, March 25) in 142 RSC. Topics of discussion include: Conceal carry in your classroom - Your thoughts and possible plans of action; Faculty tenure - Are we up next in the Kansas House?; and To unionize or not - And how does one go about that in Kansas? * The WSU softball team hosts Loyola at 3 and 5:30 p.m. today (Friday, March 25) and noon Saturday, March 26, at Wilkins Stadium. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).

* The WSU baseball team hosts Cal Poly at 6:30 p.m. today (Friday, March 25) and noon Saturday, March 26, at Eck Stadium. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).

* Free oral screenings are available for faculty, staff and students between 1:15-4:30 p.m. Friday, April 1, in 207 Ahlberg Hall. Appointments are encouraged; walk-ins welcome. To make an appointment, call 978-3603.

* A Title IX Student Forum will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, in 262 RSC. Title IX prohibits sex discrimination and/or sexual misconduct. A discussion will be held on available resources and ways to increase awareness on campus. Don't miss this event. Refreshments will be provided.

* The Office of Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) is pleased to announce its new consolidated training website at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4676. * The campus SEM (Strategic Enrollment Management) forum will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the RSC Beggs Ballroom. A box lunch will be provided for those who RSVP. RSVP via the SEM Open Forum RSVP link found under Looking For on the Home tab in myWSU. RSVPs will be accepted through Friday, April 1.
