* WSU has retained Envision Strategies LLC, a food service consulting firm based in Colorado, to conduct an assessment of the campus dining program to understand how well it is meeting the needs of the campus community. Envision team members will be on campus today (Monday, April 4)-Wednesday, April 6, to meet with students, faculty and staff, observe the dining operations, assess the existing dining operations and learn about the culture and unique attributes of Wichita State. * "Sexual Assault Prevention" is the topic of the Words for Wellness talk by Erin Lohman from noon-12:30 p.m. today (Monday, April 4) in 142 RSC. Myths, biases and victim blaming will be explored and challenged. Prevention and resource information will be provided, including information on how to be supportive of victims and encourage bystander intervention.

* The Criminal Justice Student Association of Wichita State presents an opportunity to meet, ask questions and seek information about employment with more than 25 participating federal, state and local criminal justice agencies, as well as volunteer, educational and military organizations. The 2016 Criminal Justice Career Fair will be held from 1:30-4 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, on the second floor of the RSC.

* The Council of University Women (CUW) will host its Scholarship Bash, "Oh the Places You Will Go With a CUW Scholarship," on Wednesday, April 13, to raise money for scholarships to benefit students at Wichita State. * University Support Staff (USS) employees are encouraged to nominate peers for USS senate. Submit nominations for Wichita State USS senators now to Friday, April 8. * Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) is offering a new feature, Ask IDT. Using our handy online form, you can ask us an anonymous question about any aspect of online classes, technology-assisted teaching, flipping or any other thing you think we might be able to help you with, and we will write a blog post in response. If you provide your contact information with your question, we will email you with our answer and a link to the blog post your question inspired. Think of this as an advice column for all your online/hybrid/flipped teaching needs from the technical to the pedagogical.
