Reminders, deadlines and events
* Come to the RSC between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29-Thursday, March 31, to donate clothes. When you donate at least two articles of clothing, you have the opportunity to receive a new, free Wichita State shirt.
* AfterDark is a concert and speaker event hosted by multiple student organizations on campus at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in Charles Koch Arena. Admission is free. Since 2000, it has been an unforgettable night in the lives of more than 400,000 students on college campuses across the nation, and the consensus is AfterDark, where music and message meet, is the free event you can't afford to miss. http://www.whatsafterdark.com
* The deadline to turn in a WSU Dames Endowed Scholarship application for the 2016-17 academic year is Sunday, May 1. Applications are available online at http://www.wichita.edu/wsuwomen. The scholarships are awarded annually to students enrolled full or part time at WSU who have financial need. No recipient will be excluded from consideration on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, political affiliation, status as a veteran, genetic information or disability. However, first consideration will be given to nontraditional, female candidates.
* The WSU baseball team hosts Stephen F. Austin University at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, and 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Eck Stadium. WSU students can pick up free baseball tickets on the day of the game with a WSU ID at the Eck Stadium ticket office.
* The WSU softball team hosts Tulsa at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Wilkins Stadium. WSU students can pick up free softball tickets on the day of the game with a WSU ID at Wilkins Stadium.
* With SGA election campaigning in full swing, faculty, staff and students are reminded of the following: 1) no university funds may be used for campaign expenses whether GU, RU, student fees or money held by the WSU Foundation, and 2) faculty and staff should refrain from endorsing any candidate or political party. Recognized student organizations may issue an official endorsement of a candidate or party or contribute financially to a campaign provided: 1) the endorsement is approved by its membership in accordance with its constitution and bylaws, and 2) the financial contribution is approved by its membership in accord with its constitution and bylaws and complies with SGA regulations governing campaign finance.
