Reminders, deadlines and events
* The baseball team will host Stephen F. Austin University at 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 30) at Eck Stadium. WSU students can pick up free baseball tickets on the day of the game with a WSU ID at the Eck Stadium ticket office.
* The WSU softball team will host Tulsa at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 30) at Wilkins Stadium. WSU students can pick up free softball tickets on the day of the game with a WSU ID at Wilkins Stadium.
* Every country marks life changes with different customs and traditions. Come find out more about "Rites of Passage" from around the world as we continue our Cultural Ambassador panel series. This week's panel is from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in 264 RSC. Bring your lunch and travel the world without ever leaving WSU.
* AfterDark is a concert and speaker event that is being hosted by multiple student organizations at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in Charles Koch Arena. Admission is free. http://www.whatsafterdark.com
* An 18th century French opera-ballet will take stage this spring at WSU. "Les Indes Galantes" (The Gallant Indians) is presented by WSU's School of Music and School of Performing Arts. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, March 31-April 2, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, in Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center. Students get one free ticket with a WSU ID.
* Come and spend your night at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in the CAC Theater, with SAC's Movie Nights, featuring "Sisters." In celebration of the eve of April Fools' Day, you will receive your own gag gift before the show. This event is free for all students with a WSU ID and $5 for nonstudents.
* The Stubblefield Society and the Ulrich Museum of Art are teaming up to bring you the 3rd annual Amusing Race on Friday, April 1. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. at KMUW, and the race kicks off at noon. A picnic lunch from our sponsors at Jimmy John's will follow at 1 p.m., with prizes awarded for first, second and third place, and more. Teams of four will set out to solve riddles and complete challenges as they race around the WSU campus by way of the outdoor sculpture collection. * Take a selfie in honor of Domestic Violence Month. Prizes will be given for the top three submissions. Send your submission to TitleIX@wichita.edu and tag yourself on social media using #wsuShockerIX. The deadline is Friday, April 15. Scoring categories are use of Shocker paraphernalia, creativity, appearance and inclusive of Sexual Assault Awareness in your selfie.
