* Come to the next Engineers Without Borders meeting at 6 p.m. Friday, April 1, in 211 Engineering Building.
* The Global Village Assembly allows you to listen to poetry and drums, share your thoughts and read your creative pieces at an evening of cultural sharing from 7-9 p.m. today (Friday, April 1) in 209 Hubbard Hall. This assembly's theme is One Family-Rich/Poor, Local/International and Colors/Religions.
* An 18th century French opera-ballet will take stage this weekend at WSU. "Les Indes Galantes" (The Gallant Indians) is presented by WSU's School of Music and School of Performing Arts. Performances are 7:30 p.m. today (Friday, April 1) and Saturday, April 2, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, in Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center. Students get one free ticket with a WSU ID.
* The baseball team will host TCU at 6:30 p.m. today (Friday, April 1); and 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2; and 1 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Eck Stadium. WSU students can pick up free baseball tickets on the day of the game with a WSU ID at the Eck Stadium ticket office.
* The Stubblefield Society and the Ulrich Museum of Art are teaming up to bring you the third annual Amusing Race today (Friday, April 1). Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. at KMUW, and the race kicks off at noon. A picnic lunch from our sponsors at Jimmy John's will follow at 1 p.m., with prizes awarded for first, second and third place, and more. Teams of four will set out to solve riddles and complete challenges as they race around the WSU campus by way of the outdoor sculpture collection. * Take a selfie in honor of Domestic Violence Month. Prizes will be given for the top three submissions. Scoring categories are use of Shocker paraphernalia, creativity, appearance and inclusive of Sexual Assault Awareness in your selfie. * On Saturday, April 16, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is partnering with the Counseling and Testing Center to host the third annual Out of the Darkness Campus Walk on Wichita State's campus. The intent of the walk is to inspire courageous conversations surrounding mental health and suicide prevention and to raise funds to support suicide prevention efforts at WSU.
