* Share with fellow Shockers your own talents for poetry, improvisation, music and other forms of self-expression at open mic night, at 7 p.m. today (Friday, April 8) in the third floor Beggs Ballroom, RSC. Spoken word artist Kyla Lacey will be our special guest emcee, and the night will feature special selections from her own collection of poetry. * The Association of Hindu Students in America is organizing HOLI -- Festival of Colors, Dance, Fun and Joy -- from noon-3 p.m. Saturday, April 9, in Hubbard Hall east. The cost is $5 with snacks available while they last. There will be a soak smear, vibrant colors, water balloons, DJ, dancing and music. You're invited to join and play HOLI.

* Hippodrome -- Come see who will take the winning trophy home at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 9, in the CAC Theater. Tickets are $8 for students with ID, $10 for faculty and staff, and $12 for the general public.

* The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is seeking outstanding individuals to serve as peer mentors for the Multicultural Student Mentoring Program. These students play a major role in the transition of new underrepresented students. Peer mentors must be at least a sophomore with a 2.75 GPA. * The International Student Union invites you to attend the MAVNI Program informational of spring 2016. If you are an international student interested in joining the U.S. Army, the MAVNI program presentation will be a good resource for you to collect more information. The presentation will be given by SFC Osuna from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, in 314 RSC. The presentation includes topics about the MAVNI Program, expedited citizenship, eligibility, benefits of Army service, etc. Attendees will be given free U.S. Army giveaways as well. * The deadline to apply for the Muma-Case Equality Scholarship is today (Friday, April 8). Established in 2011 by Richard D. Muma and Rick A. Case, the Muma-Case scholarship is aimed at providing assistance to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning students and their allies.
