This talk from 5:30-6:30 p.m. today (Friday, April 8) in 127 Jabara Hall, will be given by Wichita State's Murtuza Jadiwala over Smartwatch based security and mechanisms. Jadiwala will discuss how the many applications that have access to a smartwatch's "motion sensors" can be used to recover text typed on an external keyboard. He will also outline ways to prevent these attacks such as looking at details of a nonintrusive, context-aware protection framework, which can be used to disable vulnerable sensors.
