Baylee Cunningham, the City of Wichita's Air Quality Specialist, will address air quality concerns in Wichita and discuss consequences Wichita could face if the city were to go out of compliance with national standards. The WSU Green Group event will be held from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, in 203 RSC. The City of Wichita's Air Quality Division monitors and predicts high ozone days for South Central Kansas; the season runs April 1-Oct. 31. New federal guidelines designed to protect air quality will require citizens and businesses to work together to develop action plans, reduce emissions and avoid millions in federal penalties.
