* Apple Day at WSU -- See how faculty and students are using mobile devices and digital content to create, collaborate, innovate and communicate across all disciplines in higher education from 9-10:30 a.m. today (Friday, April 15) in 264 RSC.
* Bring your lunch and join members of the Human Resources Department at noon today (Friday, April 15) in 256 RSC. Hear about upcoming changes to FLSA, or ask questions about the Affordable Care Act and other topics of interest.
* Professor Robert Neel, Lehigh University, will present "Minimal surfaces and associated martingales," at 3 p.m. today (Friday, April 15) in 372 Jabara Hall. Join us for refreshments prior to the lecture at 2:30 p.m. in 353 Jabara Hall. The talk is part of the Lecture Series in the Mathematical Sciences.
* Global Faith in Action College, American Red Cross and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion are bringing the documentary "Salam Neighbor" to WSU, at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in 208 Hubbard Hall. "Salam Neighbor" is about two Americans who live among refugees along Syria's border. We are asking for a $5 donation from WSU staff and the general public. Donations will be given to International Rescue Committee in Wichita to benefit the resettlement of refugees.
* The next free Biometric Screening will be held on Monday and Tuesday, April 18-19, in 265 Rhatigan Student Center. By attending a screening you will earn five HealthQuest credits to help you meet the required 30 points for the discount. The deadline to register is midnight, three days prior to the event date. * The baseball team will host Missouri State at 6:30 p.m. today (Friday, April 15), 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, and 1 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at Eck Stadium. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).
* It's Kid's Weekend as the WSU softball team hosts Bradley University at noon and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16, and noon Sunday, April 17, at Wilkins Stadium. All youth 12 and under will receive free admission, and the entire softball team will sign posters after the game. Saturday's games also are designated RBEYE Awareness, as game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off in support of retinal blindness awareness. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).
