High school students from 26 schools participated in the Kansas Scholastic Press Association High School Journalism Contest in Rhatigan Student Center Thursday, Feb. 19. The WSU regional is one of five across the state. Students competed in writing, photography, design, advertising and editing, and about 45 professional journalists and media/public relations specialists volunteered to judge the 630 entries. Amy DeVault with the Elliott School of Communication was the contest director, and 30 WSU students volunteered to help run the event.
