Reminders, deadlines and events
* The Office of Research Compliance will hold an open lab from 9-11 a.m. today (Wednesday, April 20) in 215 Devlin Hall Innovation Hub.
* Help make the world a little greener by celebrating Earth Day with Student Activities Council by planting seeds in egg cartons starting at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, April 20) on the RSC north patio, while supplies last. You can also celebrate by planting your very own succulent plant that you can take home.
* Free sexually transmitted illness testing will be offered from 1-4 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 20) at Student Health Services, 209 Ahlberg Hall, to currently enrolled students. Gonorrhea and chlamydia will be collected with urine specimens. Please do not use the restroom at least one hour prior to testing.
* The WSU-Engineers Without Borders: Fish Slap Fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 20) on the RSC north patio. Slap our President Seham and other members with a fish or squid for a $3 donation per slap. Donations support a project to provide St. Kizito Primary School of Makenke, Uganda, with the area's first computer lab.
* Join Student Involvement Ambassadors and Intrust Bank for free snow cones from 3-5 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 20) in lot 165, behind Duerksen Fine Arts Center.
* The WSU Center for Entrepreneurship welcomes author, entrepreneur and award-winning marketing executive Tru Pettigrew as the featured speaker at the spring 2016 Entrepreneurship Forum Series, at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in 107 Devlin Hall.
* The WSU School of Performing Arts will present the musical "Chicago" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, April 21-23, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, in Wilner Auditorium. Admission is free for students with a WSU ID. http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4732
* You're invited to SAC's Murder Mystery Dinner at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, in 266 RSC. Preregistration is required by Thursday, April 21, at http://www.wichita.edu/sac. The cost is $10 for WSU students.
* Let's fill Northrock Lanes with black and yellow while supporting your Wichita State Shocker bowling teams in the national tournament at Northrock Lanes in Wichita. Admission is $5. Team competition starts at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 21, and continues Friday, April 22. The final four singles competitors, and the final two men's and final two women's teams will compete in the television finals on Saturday, April 23.
* FarmHouse Fraternity is looking for hardworking individuals who truly want to better themselves and their community. As an organization, we offer many leadership opportunities and chances to meet new people. Come out at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in 313 RSC, for free snacks and drinks, as well as information on what FarmHouse has to offer.
